A movie tells the story of the turbulent life of Giuseppe Pellizza (1868-1907), an outstanding painter and creator of the famous painting 'The Fourth Estate'. First presented to the public at the Quadriennale in Turin in 1902. Today the painting is at the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Milan. Pellizza was maked in history of art not only as a master of a colour and light, but also as an artist with ability to portray the human soul and society.
